COMM 2683 - Family Communication 3 credits
Interactions with family members are complex - sometimes challenging, sometimes rewarding, and sometimes both challenging and rewarding. This course is designed to develop an understanding of, and ability to analyze, communication within families. The overall goal is for students to analyze how communication impacts the development, maintenance, and disruption of family relationships. The course material is presented from a social scientific perspective that relies on family communication theory and empirical data.
