Presents methods for teaching the social sciences, movement, and the arts (visual, musical and dramatic) and suggests ways to integrate them with other subjects in the elementary curriculum. Emphasizes American history, citizenship education, Since Time Immemorial curriculum, sociology, economics, and geography. Focuses on lesson and unit planning, special needs, diversity, equity, and Common Core State Standards.
