PHIL 3183 - Literature: The Meaning of Modern Life

3 credits

Drawing on ancient philosophers, early Church Fathers, contemporary theologians, and works of literature, this course offers Christian answers to our biggest questions: Who is God? What is a human person? What is freedom? What is the good life? How should we approach money, sex, and power? What is the relationship between science and religion? In short, what is the meaning of modern life?  ENGL/PHIL 3183 is open to all students from across the university and is required for English majors, for whom it serves as a capstone course.  (Same as ENGL 3183)
Meets a Journey Deeper requirement.
Prerequisite: ENGL 1023 - Composition II: Arguing Charitably
