ENGL 2843 - Novels of the American Revolution 3 credits
This course providing a more complex study of basic functions allowing the use of writing processes and methods of communication to produce meaningful and appropriate documents. Students utilize proper research methods, investigate narratives, sample various events in history, and develop problem-solving skills that come from learned writers. Students broaden their association with a variety of literature to include prose, poetry, drama, fiction, and non-fiction. This course covers the time of turmoil in America, and the literature of the era depicts those situations that were thought distasteful to discuss. It also speaks of the people who endured and came out victorious. Incorporated in this lesson is the attention to grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure. Students are guided through Servanthood, Stewardship, Scholarship, and Statesmanship to become true soldiers and examples of Christianity. (This course is also offered through our concurrent credit program.) Meets a Journey Deeper requirement.
