ENGL 2863 - Modern Literature 3 credits
This course covers modern literature from the late 19th century to the present. This course explores influential works across various genres and movements, including realism, modernism, and postmodernism. Students will engage with texts by authors such as Woolf, Faulkner, and Morrison, examining themes of alienation, identity, and the impact of technology. Through discussions and critical analysis, we will uncover how modern literature reflects the complexities of contemporary life and challenges traditional narrative forms. (This course is also offered through our concurrent credit program.) Meets a Journey Deeper requirement.
