A Graphic Design minor will include a set of courses which will provide the skills and knowledge to help students succeed in a variety of design-related careers. The core set of classes that make up this minor will teach the basic principles common to all types of design along with more artistic elements such as lines, colors, shape, space, texture, typography, structure and spatial harmony with the goal of creating designs which are both visually appealing and functionally valuable. This minor will also include electives across several majors, allowing students to experience the role that good design plays across many career fields and creating a truly interdisciplinary minor program.
