NURS 4452 - Communities & Diverse Populations As Clients


2 credits

Emphasizes analysis strategies and macro-level interventions that guide and influence the health of communities and their sub-populations. This course stresses development of collaborative community partnerships and healthy environments that promote effective client/population interactions. Students consider the broader social, economic, political, and environmental determinants of health in developed and developing nations, including the growing concerns related to immigrants and refugee populations.
