The Northwest Partnership Program (NPP) is birthed from NU’s deep respect for the powerful influence of the local church and likeminded nonprofits, to effect change in our world. Both the church and university are far more effective when coordinating their efforts as a team than individually to fulfill Christ’s mandate to be change-makers. Together we aim to deliver superb, engaged online education in community contexts to every organization within our reach.

Graduate

Bible and Theology, MA

The Master of Arts in Bible and Theology (MABT) is a 36-credit degree designed to enable students to articulate the message of the Bible in faithfulness to the entire scope of God’s unfolding story. This is done so that students might live out the way of Jesus in contemporary culture and to promote truly meaningful engagement with the Bible in Christian communities and ministries.

Business Administration, MBA

This program prepares graduate students for higher levels of responsible leadership. Our students learn how to make a difference in the organizations they serve. Students take courses in accounting, finance, marketing, organizational management, and ethics. In alignment with our core value of integration of faith and learning, students also take a course in faith, ethics and business.

Christian Leadership, Certificate

This short-term certificate, normally completed in two semesters (Fall/Spring) is for those with a bachelor’s degree who wish to develop a biblical and theological framework applicable in Christian leadership. The Graduate Certificate in Christian Leadership may be taken as part of any College of Ministry graduate degree.

Clinical Mental Health Counseling, MA

The Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling is designed to prepare students to serve their communities as licensed Mental Health Counselors in the State of Washington as well as in other capacities. The professors draw from their academic studies and professional experiences to provide students with the background they will need to be successful in the field of clinical mental health counseling. Students learn through lecture, discussion, and research, and then put their new knowledge to work in their internship or thesis, all guided by their professors. Instructors seek to equip students to serve individuals from different backgrounds with widely different needs. The program has a unique multicultural focus with an emphasis on social justice.

Education, M.Ed.

The Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Instruction is designed to help practicing teachers and educational professionals take the next step in their professional development. M.Ed. candidates will be prepared to take on greater leadership in their classrooms, schools and districts, growing in their ability to make a positive impact on their schools and students. The M.Ed. program will help you earn a graduate degree in Curriculum and Instruction with one of four concentrations: Athletic Leadership, Teacher Leadership, English Language Learner (ELL), or Special Education (SPED).

Education: Subject Endorsements

The School of Education offers stand-alone endorsement coursework in four areas: Elementary Education, English Language Learner (ELL), Health and Fitness, and Special Education (SPED).

Ministry Leadership, MA

The Master of Arts in Ministry Leadership (MAML) is a 36-credit degree designed to help students develop a biblical, theological, and pastoral framework for leadership that is academically rigorous, praxis-oriented, and facilitates the growth and development of missional leadership for the twenty-first century Church.

Teaching, MIT

The School of Education (SOE) Master in Teaching (MIT) program prepares post-baccalaureate candidates with strong academic credentials who seek the first level of teacher certification and who demonstrate a high aptitude for scholarship and teaching at the elementary and secondary levels. Candidates earn a Washington State Residency Teaching Certificate and the MIT degree simultaneously.
