This course explores the evolution of information technology (IT) and how to generate value through the management of technology to achieve results. Emphasis is placed on how to manage the selection, distribution, and organization of all technology and related processes as a critical part of day-to-day business operations. Practices for aligning technology policy and corporate strategy to drive organizational efficiency and competitive advantage are studied. Case analysis and practical assignments are included to explore industry best practices and challenges in real-world application of IT strategic planning concepts.
