BUSM 5083 - Information Technology Project Management 3 credits
This course provides an overview of the critical processes, tools and techniques, and skills required to manage information technology (IT) projects. IT project management requires an in-depth understanding of predictive, adaptive, and hybrid frameworks and the ability to determine the optimal project execution approach to achieve value. Emphasis is placed on the development of a needs assessment complete with a business case and product roadmap to create a project charter. Stakeholder management and engagement is explored, and elicitation and analysis models used extensively by IT project managers to define requirements are shared.
