MSITM Graduate Course

Master of Science in Information Technology Management: 12

This accelerated, dual-degree program is designed to graduate students with a combined Bachelor of Arts in a Business major and Master of Science in Information Technology Management (MSITM) degree within five years. The combined degrees prepare students for professional careers in business, government or nonprofit organizations with technology management positions. Students begin taking four first year MSITM courses in their senior year and apply those 12 credits to their undergraduate requirements. The student is then able to finish the rest of the MSITM in the following year, thus eliminating a year of college tuition.

Admission Requirements

1. Apply to the program at the beginning of the Junior Year with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 or above. Submit an essay describing why they want to be in the program.
2. Generally, students will take six MSITM credits and six undergraduate credits each semester of their senior year. The senior year credits are charged at the undergraduate tuition rate. All remaining undergraduate credits must be completed at Northwest University. Students may take no more than 15 total credits (MSITM and undergrad combined) each semester in their senior year. No more than 12 MSITM graduate credits may be taken while still an undergraduate. Once students complete all undergraduate courses, they will be charged at the MSITM tuition rate as they continue on to MSITM courses.
3. Maintain 3.3 Cumulative GPA during their Senior Year.
4. Students complete all 36 of the required MSITM credits.
5. This program is not available to the Business Management major offered in the Online program.
6. Undergraduate business majors must reserve 12 general elective credits to substitute courses from the 5-year BA/MS MSITM program during their senior year. 
7. The dean will work collaboratively with advisors and transfer students and other students with unique circumstances to explore options for the 5-year BA/MS MSITM program.
